Canyon Crest Elementary School

Our 5th Grade Wax Museum was a huge success. We had so many wonderful past and present figures to tell us about themselves and share their stories. Students were given an influential person in history to research. They had to learn about their early life, what they’re most known for, and their later years. Then students had to write a biography paper. Once their biographies were completed they created their “backdrops.” Then students had to write a 3-4 sentence speech about their person and memorize it. The day of the Wax Museum students dressed up and were ready to present their memorized speeches to those that stopped by. Dressing up was optional for the kids so that wasn’t technically part of their “assignment.” Thank you to all the fifth graders and teachers that worked so hard to make this such a wonderful and educational event. To see all of the figures in our Museum, watch the video by clicking here.
