Please note the following announcements:

1. No School on September 5

There will be no school on Monday, September 5 due to Labor Day.  We will return to normal school hours on Tuesday, September 6.

2. Picture Day on September 22

Picture Day is on Thursday, September 22.  Students will be given photo flyers prior to picture day to bring home.  If your child does not bring home a flyer, you may pick one up in the main office.  We will start with photographing Kindergarten and move up to 6th Grade.  All photos will be taken in the gym (on the stage).  If you are paying for photos through mail/envelope, please remember to add a 7.25% tax.  Please make all checks out to Bell Photography.  You can also pay online.  Please let Tiffany McCloud know if you have any questions ( tiffanymc@provo.edu).

3. Drama Announcements

Please see the following announcement from our Drama Teacher, Mrs. Amelia Dunlap.

Come Audition for our School Play!

-This year we are performing a Musical Revue called Kid Flix: Music from the Movies Kids Love.

-Sing and Dance to songs from movies like Moana, Spiderman, Coco, Zootopia, Monster’s Inc, Polar Express and Peanuts!

-Auditions will be September 6, 3:40-5:30pm, with Callbacks September 7, 3:40-5:30pm.  See the attachments for more information.

-Stage Crew Interviews will be September 1, 3:40-5pm.

-Audition Forms and information are in the office, come pick them up and bring them filled out to your grade level’s audition!

-Please plan to stay the entire time. Hope to see you there!

4. Update PowerSchool Account Information

Provo City School District is asking that all parents access their Parent Portal Account in PowerSchool to update information for the 2022-2023 school year and review important district policies.  If you have not yet updated your PowerSchool account, please do so before the end of the day on Friday, September 30.  If this is not completed before the end of the day on Friday, September 30, students may not be able to use district computers/Chromebooks starting Monday, October 3.  Please use the following link to update your PowerSchool account: https://grades.provo.edu.  The system will not allow you to update through the mobile application, you must use a web browser.

Instructions:

-Login

-Click on yearly update

-Click on registration next to your child’s name

-Go through each page and make sure the information is correct. If you need to change something, please make the changes.

-Click on save form at the bottom of each page.

*On one of the pages you will have to type your name and on another page you will have to click yes for the use of computers in school. Just make sure that you click on save form at the bottom of each page. If you have missed something it will let you know, and you will be prompted to fix the issue before moving on. The last page is pink and you will need to type your name and click the completed box then click save form.  Please reach out to Tiffany McCloud (tiffanymc@provo.edu) if you need your username and password.  Please let Tiffany know if you have any questions.

5. Kindness Club

Kindness Club will start in September with the schedule below.

The Kindness Club will be held on Fridays at 8:00am.

1st Friday: 5-6 grade

2nd Friday: 1-2 grade

3rd Friday: 5-6 grade

4th Friday: 3-4 grade

*Please note: For September, the 3-4 Grade group will be meeting on September 30 because our Kindness Club Advisor, Michael Blakey, will be out of the building on September 23.  Please let Michael know if you have any questions (michaelbl@provo.edu).

4. Actualizar la información de la cuenta de PowerSchool
