Gung hay fat choy” is a traditional Chinese New Year’s greeting that means, “May you prosper”.   This is the time of the year that our lion dancers went around the school making lots of noises to cast out evil spirits. Mrs. Stone’s 3rd grade class had a lot of fun learning about the Chinese  culture.  They enjoyed eating with chopsticks ,writing Chinese characters., singing Chinese songs, learning some greeting words in Chinese, making origami, and  learning Chinese martial arts.   The children had a fun learning day.
