The Crystal Apple Awards are an annual celebration that seeks to recognize public school educators who have made a positive impact on the lives of their students. This year Seralina Danielson who is our Special Education Facilitator, won this award and we are thrilled for her and know that she is so deserving. Congratulations and keep up the great work Ms. Danielson! Below, you can read what our Speech Pathologist, Joy Smith, wrote about her.
“I sincerely cannot think of a person who is more deserving of an award that recognizes excellence. Seralina has exhibited traits of excellence in everything that she has been asked to do. I met Seralina the first year that I moved to Utah. At that time, she was working as a Para and went above and beyond to support her co-workers and the students within her class. She did all of this while holding down a second job and being a full-time mom. During that time, we had a supervisor that saw the potential that Seralina possessed and encouraged her to go back to school and pursue a degree in Education. Seralina worked hard to hold down her jobs and attend school while also being a mom. She received a degree and just keeps going! She has received additional education while also taking on additional responsibilities as a Special Education Facilitator. Seralina is an amazing person who genuinely wants to understand and help those who are placed in her care. She works so hard to help her students to see their potential even if they have to learn things differently from their peers. She is at work early and stays late. She is dedicated. She is an amazing person who is making a difference in the lives of so many. I feel so blessed to not only be a co-worker but a friend. You have worked so hard and we are all so happy for your success and know that you are making a difference!
Joy”
