Some of our Second Graders are Jumping Into Thursday Like… we are so excited to learn about Caldecott Books in Library today! One of our volunteers from UVU, Miss Ambrey, is teaching the kids about how special Caldecott Books are. Ala.org tells us that “The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.” K-2nd graders were introduced to the Caldecott Challenge, a reading program that they can do. Get details from the library.
