Proposed LAND Trust Plan Amendment
- Amend language in our LAND Trust Plan.
- We no longer use the INTO math growth measure.
- Change the amendments from 85% scoring on level on the growth measure, use the NWEA instead (at or above the 61st percentile- considered at or above grade level).
- Change INTO math on the PLC teams to NWEA. Just changing the language to address the new district approved assessment.
- Change the 5% on ELA and Math to 5% on math and 3% on ELA.
- Amendment passed.
PCSD Policy 4200: Electronics
- Guidelines for appropriate use of cell phone and electronic devices.
- How’s it going?
- Reported that there have been a lot of reminders, but things seem to be better.
- Watches?
- Smart watches are permitted with the understanding that they are not a distraction.
- Recess-
- Let supervisors know.
- Policy outlines consequences.
- Employee Expectations- Model appropriate cell phone use. Staff make a statement at the beginning of the day to remind them of expectations.
- District has a policy feedback link for any policies. You can share feedback on the homepage of the policies.
Middle of Year Testing Data
- February meeting- make some decisions about the plans for next year LAND trust plan.
- Acadience Reading- Given orally K-6 one on one.
- Fluency, accuracy, retell, MAZE
- K-2 Different measures.
- Sometimes a dip in reading mid-year 1st grade. First test for fluency.
- Acadience Math- Given K-3. Kinder given orally.
- K- Beginning Quantity Discrimination, Next Number Fluency, Number Identification
- 1st- Add number fluency, computation, MOY
- Reviewed Acadience Data BOY, MOY- Trending in the right direction.
- Pathway of Progress- Are students making typical or greater growth.
- Review each grade level proficiency and pathways of progress.
- Trending in the right direction.
- First grade has a dip, but other grades are all looking really good.
- Reviewed K-3 Math Acadience Data
- Proficiency at BOY/MOY and Pathways of Progress
- School Safety-
HB 84 Safety Needs Assessment complete
- Reports have been submitted to the state.
- School Guardian – working on this. Needs to be in effect by 25-26 school year
February Meeting–
- Are minutes available for the February meeting so we know what to expect?
- Sean will send out information on how this meeting will run so members of the council can be prepared.
