First Graders Learn About “mixed Reality”
Mr. Ruan, a parent of a student in Mrs. Nelson’s first grade class, shared how the HoloLens works. The Hololens is Microsoft’s take on augmented reality, which they call “mixed reality”. Using multiple sensors, advanced optics, and holographic processing that melds seamlessly with its environment, these holograms can be used to display information, blend with the real world, or even simulate a virtual world. Mrs. Nelson’s students were able to view beautiful places all over the world and then write about their experiences. Mr. Ruan shared about the process of computer programming.
