Dear Canyon Crest Parents,
Provo School District will no longer be calling “Snow Days” during inclement weather, but instead will utilize at-home learning options. On these days you will be contacted by the district, our school building will be closed, and students should remain at home. Chromebooks and chargers will be assigned to each student and sent home by your child’s teacher prior to a potential storm that makes travel unsafe. Students will be able to log in to their Canvas account at home to access the day’s remote learning. Parents and students need to be made aware that a curfew time between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am will be put in place by the school district, and devices will be shut down daily during that time period. Students will need to bring their devices and chargers back to school upon their return.
We hope these days will be minimal, but are encouraged that students will have a means to continue their learning in the event that weather conditions are not safe for travel to and from school. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the school.
Sincerely,
Rene Cunningham, Principal
