The final chapter of our school’s year long reading, preparing, planning, qualifying rounds and final rounds for Battle of the Books is now complete at the school level. The two winning teams will move on to the district battle which will happen on April 21st – 3-4 grades: 10am / 5-6 grades: 11am.
So here is what our two final battles looked like:
Girl Power – 3rd grade (Quinn, Amelia, Frances, Emma, Sadie)
vs.
Flaming Flamingos – 4th grade (Avi, Charlotte, Colton, Sophie)
Our winners in this battle were the Flaming Flamingos. The Girl Power team each received a $15 gift certificate for Pioneer Book Store. The Flaming Flamingos team each received a $30 gift certificate for Pioneer Book Store, a medal, and will be moving on to the District Finals.
Spicy Jalapeños – 5th grade (Tessa, Elizabeth, Lila, Maggie, Bria)
vs.
Cheese Raiders The Sequel – 6th grade (Taj, Dash, Luke, Leif, Cassius)
Our winners in this battle were the Cheese Raiders The Sequel. The Spicy Jalapeños team each received a $15 gift certificate for Pioneer Book Store. The Cheese Raiders The Sequel team each received a $30 gift certificate for Pioneer Book Store, a medal, and will be moving on to the District Finals.
