3. Free and Reduced Lunch Information
Don’t forget–Back to School Night is the perfect opportunity to sign up for classroom/school volunteering and for student lunches.
School breakfasts and lunches will not be offered for free to everyone this year. Here is a reminder for what you need to do if you are interested in free and reduced lunches:
The federal government has indicated that school meals in 2022/2023 must be paid for unless parents/guardians have applied and been approved for the free and reduced meal program. Families who did not complete a free and reduced meal application for the 2021-2022 school year before May 27, 2022 will pay full price for meals during the first month of the 2022-2023 school year.
Please note that parents/guardians will need to complete a new meal application for the 2022-2023 school year as soon as possible for free and reduced meals. If approved, the free and reduced meals will be in place for your child after the first month of this school year. For more information, see the current income eligibility guidelines as the following link: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2022/02/16/2022-03261/child-nutrition-programs-income-eligibility-guidelines
You can find a free and reduced meal program application at the main office or apply online at the following link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/
We ask that you please spread the word to anyone you know who may benefit from the free and reduced meal program. 4. August 16-19 Our first day of school this year is Tuesday, August 16.
