Please note the following announcements.
1. School Community Council Elections
We are extending the School Community Council (SCC) Election period to the end of the week. The SCC Election Google Form will close at the end of the day on Friday, September 16. Please vote at the following link: https://forms.gle/8bHwT2pYkqf6G1Yd9
2. Certain Items Must Stay Home
We kindly ask that you please make sure your child does not bring any look-alike or facsimiles of weapons to school, including, but not limited to swords, water guns, and Orbeez guns. These items must stay at home and should not be brought to school (even if it stays in a backpack).
3. Card Collections
We also ask that you have your child keep card collections (e.g., Pokemon cards) at home. Often times, these cards get mixed up with other students and the cards are accidentally taken and/or damaged. Card collections should stay home.
4. Upcoming Safety Drill
We have a Lockdown Safety Drill coming up on Friday, September 30. Please let your child know to anticipate this drill.
5. Vision Screenings
We will have vision screenings this Thursday, September 15. If you would like to opt your child out of the vision screening process, please fill out the attached form and send with your child to school. Your child will need to give their teacher the opt-out form. You can also email the opt-out form to your child’s teacher and our school nurse, Teri Lyn Garfield by clicking the following link ( tgarfield@provo.edu). Let Teri Lyn Garfield know if you have any questions.
6. Picture Day on September 22
Picture Day is on Thursday, September 22. Students will be given photo flyers prior to picture day to bring home. If your child does not bring home a flyer, you may pick one up in the main office. We will start with photographing Kindergarten and move up to 6th Grade. All photos will be taken in the gym (on the stage). If you are paying for photos through mail/envelope, please remember to add a 7.25% tax. Please make all checks out to Bell Photography. You can also pay online.
7. Update PowerSchool Account Information
Provo City School District is asking that all parents access their Parent Portal Account in PowerSchool to update information for the 2022-2023 school year and review important district policies. If you have not yet updated your PowerSchool account, please do so before the end of the day on Friday, September 30. If this is not completed before the end of the day on Friday, September 30, students may not be able to use district computers/Chromebooks starting Monday, October 3. Please use the following link to update your PowerSchool account: https://grades.provo.edu. The system will not allow you to update through the mobile application, you must use a web browser.
Instructions:
-Login
-Click on yearly update
-Click on registration next to your child’s name
-Go through each page and make sure the information is correct. If you need to change something, please make the changes.
-Click on save form at the bottom of each page.
*On one of the pages you will have to type your name and on another page you will have to click yes for the use of computers in school. Just make sure that you click on save form at the bottom of each page. If you have missed something it will let you know, and you will be prompted to fix the issue before moving on. The last page is pink and you will need to type your name and click the completed box then click save form. 2. Ciertos artículos deben quedarse en casa
Le pedimos amablemente que se asegure de que su hijo no raiga a la escuela ningún artículo que se parezca a un arma o que sea un facsímil de ella, incluyendo, pero sin limitarse a espadas, pistolas de agua y pistolas Orbeez. Estos artículos deben permanecer en casa y no deben ser raídos a la escuela (incluso si se mantiene en una mochila).
3. Colecciones de arjetas

6. Día de la Fotografía el 22 de septiembre
El Día de la Fotografía es el jueves 22 de septiembre. Los estudiantes recibirán folletos de fotos antes del día de las fotos para que los raigan a casa. Si su hijo no rae un volante a casa, puede recoger uno en la oficina principal. Empezaremos fotografiando a Kindergarten y pasaremos a 6º grado. Todas las fotos serán omadas en el gimnasio (en el escenario). Si usted está pagando por las fotos a ravés de correo / sobre, por favor, recuerde añadir un 7,25% de impuestos. Por favor haga odos los cheques a nombre de Bell Photography. También puede pagar en línea.
7. Actualizar la información de la cuenta de PowerSchool
El Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Provo está pidiendo que odos los padres accedan a su cuenta del Portal de Padres en PowerSchool para actualizar la información para el año escolar 2022-2023 y revisar las políticas importantes del distrito. Si aún no ha actualizado su cuenta de PowerSchool, por favor hágalo antes de que ermine el día vie es 30 de septiembre. Si esto no se completa antes del final del día el vie es, 30 de septiembre, los estudiantes no pueden ser capaces de utilizar las computadoras del distrito / Chromebooks a partir del lunes, 3 de octubre. La última página es de color rosa y endrá que escribir su nombre y hacer clic en el cuadro completado y luego haga clic en guardar formulario.
