Cindy Drummond Hello my name is Cindy Drummond I have been a resident of Provo for the majority of my life. Born in Mexico City but raised in Provo from age two. I attended Maeser Elementary, Centennial Middle and graduated from Timpview High School. I attended BYU and just recently went back to slowly but surely pursue a career in nursing.  My husband and I have been married for 17 years. We have lived, studied and worked in 4 different states but always come home to Provo. The last 10 years have really solidified our roots here. I have two daughters. One currently a sophomore at Timpview, who went through the Spanish immersion program, and a first grader here at Canyon Crest who is currently starting the Spanish immersion program.  As a stay at home mom spending time with and teaching my children has been my most rewarding work. However I have also had  the unique opportunity to be highly involved in my community. Including, but not limited to, volunteer opportunities, freelance work for various startup Utah businesses, paid corporate positions,  entrepreneurial endeavors, and exploring all Utah outdoors has to offer. I consider myself an active member of my community and feel I have a finger on the pulse of what goes on in Provo.  I feel that my background, life experience and community knowledge would make me a great asset to the School Community Council. I have worked extensively with children and would love the opportunity to advocate for them and Canyon Crest. As well as work side by side with Principal Edwards to better fulfill the needs of both.  Cindy Drummond

Brooke Macdonald Dear Friends, I have enjoyed serving on the community council for the past two years, with this past year serving as committee chair. We have a wonderful school and community, and I would be thrilled to continue to be involved. I humbly submit my name for a second term. I have learned a lot over the last two years about the role of being a committee member on community counsel, including the responsibility of voting where to allocate funds to directly improve our schools testing scores.  I served as lead on two key projects during my last term: the front landscape improvement project and the design of the banners in the parking lot. Our team also added the tv by the main doors.  I’m happily married to Jim Macdonald. We have six children, two that have graduated from Canyon Crest, a 5th grader, a 2nd grader, a kindergartener, and a future Cub. I also have two nephews attending our terrific school. Ian Miller Hello, my name is Ian Miller. I appreciate your consideration and hope that my brief background will help you get a sense of me as a member of the community. I graduated in Accounting from Brigham Young University and then worked at EY in their assurance practice. I went on to earn my MBA from Duke University, concentrating on strategy and marketing. During business school, I volunteered to serve on a nonprofit’s Board of Directors to help them prioritize initiatives and allocate resources appropriately. Go Blue Devils! From North Carolina, we moved to South Korea where I did management and strategy consulting for Samsung at their headquarters in Seoul. We took this unique opportunity to travel throughout Asia and expose our family to different cultures and historical monuments (and a few Disneyland Parks, of course!) in Japan, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and Cambodia. While in Korea, I served as an Ambassador for Duke University and mentored Koreans in their application efforts to Duke and evaluated them through formal interviews as part of the application process to the business school. My wife also volunteered by teaching English to a North Korean defector, Jean, and helped him successfully get accepted into architecture school.  As we looked to come back to the US, we landed here in Utah when I joined Qualtrics and I have been working there for the last five years. Through all of these adventures in different locations, we now have four children ages 2 – 10. The three oldest attend Canyon Crest now (1st, 3rd and 5th grades) and our fourth, Lily, will be a Canyon Crest Cub in a few years. Most recently, I had a blast volunteering with the Junior Achievement program in Mrs. Blinzinger’s fourth grade class last year and look forward to doing it again this year. I am also actively involved in coaching and playing recreational sports in the community (kickball, soccer, softball, basketball). Our family loves Canyon Crest! The teachers and staff are simply incredible! Personally, I had a great elementary education experience in California and I’d be honored to try and give back to Canyon Crest by being a part of the School Community Council. Thank you, Ian Miller

Cindy Drummond Hola mi nombre es Cindy Drummond he sido residente de Provo la mayor parte de mi vida. Nací en la Ciudad de México pero me crié en Provo desde los dos años de edad.
