Canyon Crest will be starting a TYPING CLUB CHALLENGE, for 3rd – 6th graders, beginning Sunday, January 10 and go through Saturday, January 16th. We will divide the total number of minutes by how many kids are in the classes to get an average per student to determine the winners.

The class or classes that have the most averaged minutes of practice time in 1 week will get a class treat.

Also, there will be a Typing Club Test next week that will be available to you. You will need to take the test at least once, but you can take it 3 times in all – your best score will be used. Please remember that you are on the Honor System – so make sure that you follow the rule that we would in the computer lab when taking tests, which is – DON’T LOOK AT YOUR HANDS WHILE TYPING, ONLY THE SCREEN. Since we are doing a typing challenge next week also, you may want to wait until later in the week to take the test so that you can get a lot of practice in before you take the test. Your hard work and practice will pay off. Things that are hard are often good for us. So, DON’T BE AFRAID OF HARD WORK.
