1. Christmas Performance

Our amazing students will be performing for friends and family on December 15th. Here is the breakdown of when the grade levels will perform. We will try to stay as close to this schedule as possible.

Please start checking in at 9:15 am to be checked in with the Raptor System. Please make sure to bring your Driver’s license to be scanned. (We need your license to make it go quickly.) We will be using a quicker scanning system this time, but it will still take some time to get everyone checked in. To make this process quicker please make sure to have your Driver’s license or ID ready when you get here. Gym Doors will not open until 9:30 am for parents, guardians, family & friends to be seated. There is a zoom link if you cannot make it to the performance.

2. Still Accepting Paperwork for STEM FAIR

STEM Fair Jan 13th

It’s that time of year again where we start preparing and encouraging our students to participate in our SCHOOL WIDE STEM FAIR.

Our SCHOOL STEM FAIR will take place on Friday, Jan 13th.  Turn your paperwork in by Friday. Dec. 9th for a prize!

(The hard deadline for PAPERWORK is Jan 9th.  If students want to earn prizes along the way, they will want to start working on their project and submit paperwork long before this date).

For students to participate, they will need to get a STEM FAIR application form from the office.  Once they get their form and complete it, they can bring it to Ms. Blinzinger RM#18.

In order to encourage students to pace themselves and encourage well-done projects, We have a sign off card (see attached sheet), that students can get signed off by the date listed, in order to win a small prize.  Once they get all 4 parts signed off and bring it back to Ms. Blinzinger in room #18, they will earn a ticket for a drawing for a GRAND PRIZE.  (We will hold the drawing on Jan. 13th)

WE NEED JUDGES:

FOR our school STEM FAIR:  Friday Jan.13 here at Canyon Crest in the gym, from 9-10:30.

FOR our DISTRICT FAIR:  Feb.10th from 3:45-7pm at Centennial Middle School.

Please share this link with Friends, Family, Scientists, Engineers, Computer Scientists, College Students…we REALLY NEED JUDGES.

Please have anyone who wants to be a judge contact me, at  heatherb@provo.edu with their phone number and whether they are available to help judge the SCHOOL Stem Fair, District Fair, or both.

3. Winter Break

4. Sorenson Legacy Award

5. January Breakfast & Lunch Menus

Attached below are the breakfast and lunch menus for January.

6. Weather Conditions

With this week continuing to be bad weather conditions, please plan ahead. Please leave earlier in the mornings to arrive safely at school on time. We would also ask that you leave earlier to pick your students up as it may take more time to get here and through the pick up line safely. There were several accidents on canyon road this morning making it hard for students to make it to school on time. If you have any questions please contact the school.

Best,

Canyon Crest
