Provo City School District

Canyon Crest Elementary School

Please note: The District has called a Two-Hour Delay for school tomorrow.

“Due to forecasted weather conditions and concerns about potential road conditions in the morning, Provo City School District will operate on a Two Hour Late Start schedule tomorrow, Wednesday January, 10.  This means that school will start two hours later than normal at each school.  For example, if your school starts at 8:30 on a normal day, it will start at 10:30 tomorrow.  Schools will still release at their normal times.

This also means that the transportation department will utilize Below Bench Pickup locations. Buses on the east bench will pick students up at the designated below bench pickup locations 2 hours after their regularly scheduled pickup times.  Buses may be a little bit late so we ask that you please be patient as you wait for the bus to arrive. *Please see below for a step-by-step guide for determining your below bench pickup location and time.

This also means that there will be NO half-day kindergarten, preschool, or other midday/after-school programs.  High School athletics (practices, games, or competitions) for in-season sports only will take place as scheduled unless otherwise directed by the Superintendent. Please contact your school directly with any questions.

As always, parents are encouraged to do what they feel is best and safest when sending their students to school. Please communicate with your school if your student will be late or absent.

Thank you for your understanding as we navigate the weather conditions tomorrow morning.”
