• First Week of School is Early Release. 1:30pm early release on Tuesday through Thursday. 1:50pm early release on Friday.

Kindergarten Information

Utah legislation now requires Kindergarten students to have 180 days of school, similar to Grades 1 through 12. This change now requires us to start Kindergarten students on the same day as the rest of our school. The first day of school for Kindergarten (and all other grades) is Tuesday, August 13.

In prior years, Kindergarten students started school a week after the rest of the school to participate in placement testing. Now that Kindergarten students will start school on the same day as all other students, our placement testing will look differently than in previous years. Please note the following:

• Kindergarten placement testing will occur after early release times the first week of school (August 13 – August 16).
• Parents will be asked to sign-up for a Kindergarten placement testing appointment.
• The sign-up list will be sent to parent emails on Monday, August 5.
• On PowerSchool, you will see your child is assigned a teacher. Our district’s system requires a teacher of record to be assigned in order for students to be in school. However, Kindergarten placement testing won’t be completed until Friday, August 16. **The teacher your child is assigned may change depending on Kindergarten placement testing outcomes.
• Our goal is to have all Kindergarten placements completed by the time students attend school on Monday, August 19. The teacher your child has listed on PowerSchool on Monday, August 19 will be your child’s assigned teacher for the school year.
• Please do not send your child with class supplies until after you know who your child’s teacher will be (after August 19).
• Updating PowerSchool Information:
• Please make sure you take a minute to go into your PowerSchool account to complete your “Yearly Update”. If you need help logging in please reach out to Sheliah Saluone at sheliahs@provo.edu.

Free and Reduced Lunch Information and Application

A message from our Free/Reduced Meals Specialist:

“We are accepting and processing 24/25 year applications for the Free/Reduced meals program. Parents can fill out online applications online below. A reminder that applications from previous years cannot be accepted.  If you have any questions, please reach out to the Child Nutrition Department.”

School Construction

Our school parking lot is taking form! Because the parking lot is still under construction, we ask that you communicate with us via email until our building is more accessible to the public.

At this time, please note that our internet and phone lines are not working. We are told it may be a couple weeks until the situation is remedied.
