Canyon Crest Kindergarten Parents/Guardians,

Please see the following announcements about upcoming kindergarten placement testing and other information. Please note: Our new parent messaging system does not have a way to disaggregate groups of parents based on a child’s grade level yet. If you do not have a kindergarten child, you can disregard this message.

1. CLASS PLACEMENT TESTING Please use the link below to sign up for a Class Placement Testing Time for your kindergartner. Testing will take place the first week of school Tuesday the 13th – Thursday the 15th. Sign up for Class Placement Testing.

2: FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL Kindergarten students have all been assigned a “testing teacher” which you should be able to view in your PowerSchool account. Students will be rotating between kindergarten teachers each day for the first week of school. For example, if your child’s testing teacher is Mrs. McLeod they will be with Mrs. McLeod on August 13th, then they will be with Ms. Baird on August 14th. Students will alternate that first week of school. All class placements will be finalized on Friday, August 16th. The purpose for rotating is so that students can become familiar with both our kindergarten teachers. Because your child has not been assigned a final teacher yet, please hold off on the kindergarten supply list.

3. KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION FORM Please take a moment to fill out the following Google Form by Wednesday, August 14th.
