Please see the following mid-week announcements.

1. Update on School Community Council Elections/Voting

We had three (3) open parent seats for our School Community Council (SCC).  The self-nomination Google Form closed yesterday afternoon and we had exactly three (3) self-nominations.  Given the situation, the three (3) parents who self-nominated will be automatically appointed to the three (3) open parent seats.  Therefore, we will not have School Community Council elections/voting this school year.

2. School Shirts

3. Kindergarten and 1st Grade Pick-Up

Currently, Kindergarten and 1st Grade pick-up is arranged at the Kindergarten playground to ensure student safety.  We understand that this is certainly not an ideal situation for parents to have to park, walk over to the north end of our building, find their child in the hustle-and-bustle of school releasing for the day, walking back to the car, etc.  We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused so many of you.

Once the front of the building has been landscaped, we hope to move our Kindergarten and 1st Grade pick-up area to the west-facing north-end of the building (where Kindergarten and 1st Grade pick-up has been in the past).  We thank you for your patience and understanding in the interim.

If making it to the Kindergarten playground for pick-up is too difficult and challenging for you to navigate, please reach out to our administrative assistant, Sheliah Saluone, to review other potential options – sheliahs@provo.edu.

4. Construction Update and Parking Lot Use

We have been informed that the south end of our building should be paved and completed in the next week or so.  Once this is finished, we will start to allow our faculty and staff to use the parking lot.  We hope to still reserve a section of the parking lot for parents and visitors, but please be aware that it will be reduced from what it has been the past couple of weeks.

5. Drop-Off/Pick-Up Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that students entering and exiting vehicles should always get out on the passenger side and ONLY from the lane closest to the building (far right lane, east-most lane).  The purpose of this practice is to ensure student safety.
