1. BEGINNING OF YEAR TESTING
Beginning of year testing starts this week.
2. AFTER SCHOOL

3. BIKE, WALK, & ROLL TO SCHOOL
From our PTA: Bike, Walk, & Roll to School week is, September 9 – 13.
During Bike, Walk, and Roll to School Week, teachers, staff, and students are encouraged to use their own cub power to get to school. There will be prizes and activities every day. If students or staff members live too far away, they can arrange to meet at friends’ houses for shorter commutes.
Sunday Activity:
As a wonderful kick off to Canyon Crest’s Bike, Walk, and Roll to School Week, you are invited to join BikeWalk Provo in their September Slow Stroll & Roll. These family-friendly walks and rides are intended to help residents reimagine how they move around our community. Meet between 6:00 and 6:15 p.m. at Quail Orchard Park. There will be donuts.
Monday – Friday Mornings (Every day next week!):
Cub-powered commuters can stop by the bike racks to enter into Friday’s raffle!
Monday: “Walk and Chalk”
After school walkers can get a piece of chalk and mark their path, leaving encouraging messages for the earth and for other cub-powered commuters.
Tuesday: “Helmet Check”
Cub-powered helmet-wearers can spin a wheel for a small prize at the bike racks.
Wednesday: “Hydration Station”
Cub-powered commuters can stop by our hydration station for a refreshing drink.
Thursday: “Snack Station”
Cub-powered commuters can stop by our snack station for a treat.
Friday: “Raffle”
There will be a raffle with prizes from our local bike shops!
4. WHITE RIBBON WEEK (INTERNET SAFETY)

5. GRADE LEVEL DONATIONS

6. VISION SCREENING

7. HEARING SCREENING

8. POWERSCHOOL YEARLY UPDATES
If you have not completed your Yearly Update on PowerSchool, please do that as soon as you can. Students will not be able to access their Chromebooks until that is completed. Use the link here to log in: https://grades.provo.edu
9. SCHOOL PICTURE DAY

10. CROSSING GUARDS NEEDED
Provo Police are looking to hire a crossing guard along Canyon Road. They are looking for individuals who are willing to staff the crosswalks along Canyon Road. This is a paid position. 11. INTERNET SAFETY LESSONS
Our School Community Council approved NetPositive internet safety lessons to be taught to all students. These lessons will start next week on Tuesday, September 10.
