• NWEA Middle of Year Data-
• NWEA is a nationally normed test that provides predictive data.  The correlation between this test and RISE data is very close.  What can we learn from this data?
• Nate Mitchell- District Assessment Director led a discussion about the data and specifically what our school data looks like.
• Whole School Proficiency- 56% in the green and blue meaning that this percentage of students is likely to pass the RISE assessment with a 3 or 4 (proficient).
• Reviewed data from the BOY to MOY.
• Looked at each grade level proficiency.

    • 1st- 58th
    • 2nd- 73rd
    • 3rd- 64th
    • 4th- 52nd
    • 5th- 56th
    • 6th- 75th
• What do we do with this data?
• In looking at 4th in particular, we see many students in the yellow.  We can use that data to identify which students need that last little push to help move them to proficiency.
• Reviewed the growth of the school.  We want to move more kids over to the green and blue and make red and orange as small as possible.
• As a school, an observation is that we have many students who started high, but did not make the expected growth.  We are looking at this and targeting these students.
• Nate answered several questions from the group and helped to clarify the data and why we are using this to help make decisions at the school level.
• Meeting was adjourned at 4:55.  The rest of the items on the agenda will be moved to our next meeting.
