Please note the following:

  1. We are looking for parents who are willing to volunteer for our Dia de los Ninos event. If you are interested, please see the following links. Please sign up by Friday, May 2. Volunteer Options:
  2. We have assigned blocks of time (45 minutes) for grade levels to participate in the various activities for the event. One of the reasons for having assigned blocks of time per grade level is to ensure all students have access to the many different activities. In the past, when all grade levels were outside at the same time, older students would jump the line in front of younger students, preventing younger students from getting to all the activities they wanted to. This adjustment will allow all students to participate without barriers.
  3. Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria and have inside recess so there is no interference with the grade level who has an assigned block of time for Dia de los Niños.
  4. We welcome parents who want to join and celebrate with us. Parents can eat lunch with their child in the cafeteria and be outside for the Dia de los Niños festivities. You may have a situation where you have more than one child at Canyon Crest. It is possible that some of your children will be in the cafeteria while others are participating in the event. If this is the case, please decide which option will be best for you and your family.
  5. It is our intent to provide this great opportunity to Canyon Crest students only. Older siblings in middle school and high school are not invited. We support Centennial Middle School and Timpview High School and will not encourage or allow older school-aged siblings to attend the Canyon Crest Dia de los Ninos event. Additionally, all visitors will need their driver’s license to gain access to the building for safety and security purposes.

We are excited to celebrate! Please contact our main office if you have any questions – 801-221-9873.
