Please see the following message about course registration from Centennial Middle School:

It is time for 6th graders to start registering for 7th grade. We are so excited to have your student come to Centennial! Attached you will find information about 7th-grade registration and what classes your student can register for as a 7th grader. Step-by-step instructions are included via video on slide #8 in the slide presentation link below. Please take some time to look through the information with your student(s) and complete the online registration by the end of next Friday, April 25th.

Earlier this spring we had the opportunity to meet with 6th grade classes and talk to your students about many things. If at any point throughout the process of selecting classes online you have any questions, please reach out to one of our counselors.

• A couple important things we would like you to be aware of: There is no priority to students that pick their classes earlier in the week that registration is open. Schedules are not made until the summer, and all the students are doing at this time is selecting classes they would like. There are no capacity limits set during this process. We allow all students to let us know what they would like to take and then we try to figure out how many sections of each class we need to create to accommodate as many requests as possible.
• With the above information in mind, please take your time in choosing your student’s classes. Since we base how many sections of each course we teach on student requests, we will not be making changes to your student’s schedule next year if it is with a course they have chosen. More about our class change policy can be found on slide 7 of the presentation.
• The attached presentation consists of 9 slides and has lots of helpful information about different programs, both in the form of videos and downloadable printouts and documents. Our course catalog is also included in the presentation, as well as a downloadable selection sheet, so that you can thoroughly read about each course and map out an idea of what your student thinks they may want to take before choosing them online. It also includes detailed step-by-step directions on how to go online to select your student’s class requests.
• We ask that you please take your time to go through the presentation with your student, as most questions you may have should be answered in the presentation.
• You and your student(s) have through Friday, April 25th to log into their account and select their classes online. The system will then close and you will no longer be able to pick classes online.
