Our fourth graders had a food-filled STEM lesson when they constructed towers out of spaghetti and marshmallows on Friday. This engineering lesson required that students use unusual materials, understand their properties, and try to construct the tallest tower. The students were completely engaged in the effort and learned a lot from this hands-on learning activity. In fact, it definitely stirred some “food for thought”.
Nuestros alumnos de cuarto grado tuvieron una lección STEM llena de comida cuando construyeron torres de espaguetis y malvaviscos el viernes. Esta lección de ingeniería requería que los alumnos utilizaran materiales inusuales, comprendieran sus propiedades e intentaran construir la torre más alta. Los alumnos se implicaron al máximo y aprendieron mucho con esta actividad práctica. De hecho, les hizo reflexionar.
