Provo City School District

Canyon Crest Elementary School

Canyon Crest Parents/Guardians,

The district’s technology department just informed us that students will not have access to online learning platforms such as Lexia, Reading Plus, and IXL Math due to the technology updates taking place this summer.  We apologize for the inconvenience and disruption this may cause to your plans to support continued learning over the summer.

We recommend students engage in learning over the summer by doing the following:

-Read for around 20 minutes per day

-IXL Math – Students should still be able to access 10 free questions per day without logging in (https://www.ixl.com/)

-Kahn Academy – Students can also practice math through Kahn Academy (https://www.khanacademy.org/)

*Please note that only 20 minutes per subject per day is recommended.  It is so important that children also use the summer break to have a lot of fun!

We will let you know if the district technology department is able to get the technology updates completed sooner than anticipated.  At this time, they expect the updates to be completed just prior to the school year starting.

Thank you for your understanding.  Please reach out to Sheliah Saluone with any questions (sheliahs@provo.edu).

Best,

Canyon Crest
