Signed Council Form End of Year Data

Celebrations:

• 2nd Grade: Math Acadience went from 60% MOY to 86% EOY
• 4th Grade: Based on NWEA MOY data, only 21 students were “predicted” to pass the RISE Math assessment.  44 students ended up passing.
• 6th Grade: RISE Science DLI classes achieved 100% proficiency in one class and 93% proficiency in the other class.
• 1st Grade: Acadience MOY 68% to 77% EOY.
• 3rd Grade: Our 2 teachers responsible for teaching ELA curriculum were recognized by the district for being in the top 10 highest performing teachers in the district according to Acadience Reading Data.
• Math Acadience scores went from 70% BOY to 90% EOY

Things to consider for next years testing:

• Strategies 1st and 2nd grade used for addressing skills were helpful and they plan to use them next year.
• K-3 will participate in math coaching
• Talking to kids about doing their best.
• Work on testing schedule
• Help teachers with testing environment
• Educate parents on the test

Safe Routes Requests Updates

• Cannot increase the distance of the speed zone.  Limited to 200 ft.
• Cannot add an island crosswalk because of proximity to left turn.
• Your speed signs are not permitted in school zone.
• Repainting roadway signage done in the summer.
• Provo PD remains committed to increasing patrols.  Contact SRO of concerns.  Sgt. Bascom reviews concerns with patrol officers.
• No- to request for speed bumps on city streets.
