Canyon Crest Parents/Guardians, 

Please note the following weekly announcements.   1. PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: Parent Teacher Conferences are on February 7th, 8th and 9th. Please plan on meeting with your student’s teacher. More detailed information is coming tomorrow.      2. UPCOMING STEM NIGHT:

We are in the beginning stages of planning our annual STEM Night. This event is on March 26th. If you are interested in being a presenter that evening please let us know.      3. STEM FAIR SUCCESS: We want to thank everyone who helped make our STEM Fair last week amazing! Thank you to our volunteer judges. Thank you students for participating! Thank you parents/guardians for helping students with their projects. Thank you to Heather Blinzinger for putting the whole STEM Fair together. We had a phenomenal turn out this year!      4. AFTER SCHOOL NEWS:  Due to lack of participation in our Tuesday STEM Science class, we are going to cancel the Tuesday class. Students are welcome to come to the Wednesday STEM Science classes.    We are ready to start a Robotics class this week, Tuesday, January 30th for 4th-6th graders. This class will meet once a week and will use the Legos Mindstorm EV3 kits.   An After School class Persverando el Arte-Literatura (Posía) y Perservando el Arte-Artensi is coming. These classes will be taught in Spanish and are for students in Spanish Immersion who would like a fun way to practice Spanish. 1. CONFERENCIAS DE PADRES Y MAESTROS: Las conferencias de padres y maestros son el 7, 8 y 9 de febrero. Por favor planee reunirse con el maestro de su estudiante. Información más detallada vendrá mañana.

2. PRÓXIMA NOCHE DE STEM: Estamos en las etapas iniciales de la planificación de nuestra Noche anual de STEM. Este evento es el 26 de marzo. Si usted está interesado en ser un presentador de esa noche por favor háganoslo saber.     3. ÉXITO DE LA FERIA STEM: ¡Queremos agradecer a todos los que ayudaron a que nuestra Feria STEM de la semana pasada fuera increíble! Gracias a nuestros jueces voluntarios. Gracias a los estudiantes por participar. Gracias a los padres/tutores por ayudar a los estudiantes con sus proyectos. Gracias a Heather Blinzinger por organizar toda la Feria STEM. ¡Tuvimos una participación fenomenal este año!

4. NOTICIAS EXTRACURRICULARES:  Debido a la falta de participación en nuestra clase de Ciencia STEM del martes, vamos a cancelar la clase del martes. Los estudiantes son bienvenidos a venir a las clases de STEM Science de los miércoles.   Estamos listos para comenzar una clase de Robótica esta semana, el martes 30 de enero para los alumnos de 4to a 6to grado. Esta clase se reunirá una vez a la semana y utilizará los kits de Legos Mindstorm EV3. Planeamos tener una competencia a finales de marzo o principios de abril. Se acerca una clase extracurricular Persverando el Arte-Literatura (Posía) y Perservando el Arte-Artensi. Estas clases se impartirán en español y son para los estudiantes de inmersión en español que le gustaría una manera divertida de practicar español. Más información próximamente.     5.
