Please note the following weekly announcements.  1. Halloween 

A separate email will be sent within the hour including all the information for tomorrow’s Halloween Festivities.  2. Veterans Day Assembly

We will be doing a Veteran’s Day Assembly during our Reflections Assembly on Friday November 10th. Veteran’s are invited to come to the assembly which starts at 9:30am. Please scan your photo identification at the kiosk, check in at the main office, then head to the GYM for the assembly. If you are planning to attend this assembly please RSVP by Wednesday November 8. If you have a picture of your Veteran please send it to Sheliah Saluone at  sheliahs@provo.edu also by Wednesday, November 8. 

3. Picture Retake Day

Picture Retake Day will be this Thursday November 2, 2023. Please see the attached flyer to purchase your package. 

4. Visitor Management System

This week on Wednesday, November 1st our visitor management system will go into full effect. Per district policy (see attached), we kindly request all visitors to present a valid government issued form of photo identification. This includes visitors who are checking their child out early and or dropping something off. We appreciate your support in ensuring the safety of our students.

5. CogAT

All third grade students will be taking the CogAT next Thursday and Friday (Nov. 2nd and 3rd).  Students will solve various kinds of puzzles (word, number, picture etc.).  This opportunity helps us identify students who may benefit from enriched instruction. Holiday Season Canyon Crest Elementary wants to make sure our families have what they need this Holiday Season. With help from United Way we would like to assist where needed. If you would like some support please contact our school social worker, Michael Blakey at michaelbl@provo.edu. We can help out with Sub for Santa, winter clothes, and or other needs. If you would like to help, you can purchase gift cards and drop them off at the front office. If you have any other questions please reach out to Michael Blakey.   7. Lost & Found

This is a last call to stop by the lost & found. We will be donating any items left this Friday, November 3.

Padres/Tutores de Canyon Crest,   Por favor tomen nota de los siguientes anuncios semanales.

1. Halloween 

Un correo electrónico separado será enviado dentro de una hora incluyendo toda la información para las Festividades de Halloween de mañana.

2. Asamblea del Día de los Veteranos Haremos una Asamblea del Día de los Veteranos durante nuestra Asamblea de Reflexiones el viernes 10 de noviembre. Los veteranos están invitados a venir a la asamblea que comienza a las 9:30 am. Por favor, escanee su identificación con foto en el quiosco, regístrese en la oficina principal, luego diríjase al GYM para la asamblea. Si usted está planeando asistir a esta asamblea por favor RSVP antes del miércoles 8 de noviembre. Si usted tiene una foto de su Veterano por favor envíela a Sheliah Saluone a  sheliahs@provo.edu también antes del miércoles 8 de noviembre.

3. Día de toma de fotografías

El día de toma de fotos será este jueves 2 de noviembre de 2023. Por favor vea el volante adjunto para comprar su paquete.

4. Sistema de Gestión de Visitantes

Esta semana el miércoles, 1 de noviembre nuestro sistema de gestión de visitantes entrará en pleno efecto. Por política del distrito (ver adjunto), solicitamos amablemente a todos los visitantes que presenten una forma válida de identificación con foto emitida por el gobierno. Esto incluye a los visitantes que están registrando a su hijo temprano y o dejar algo. Agradecemos su apoyo para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes.

5. CogAT

Todos los alumnos de tercer curso realizarán el CogAT el próximo jueves y viernes (2 y 3 de noviembre).  Los alumnos resolverán varios tipos de acertijos (palabras, números, imágenes, etc.).  Esta oportunidad nos ayuda a identificar a los estudiantes que pueden beneficiarse de una instrucción enriquecida. 6. Temporada de vacaciones Canyon Crest Elementary quiere asegurarse de que nuestras familias tienen lo que necesitan esta temporada de vacaciones. Con la ayuda de United Way nos gustaría ayudar donde sea necesario. Si usted desea algún apoyo por favor póngase en contacto con nuestro trabajador social de la escuela, Michael Blakey en michaelbl@provo.edu. Podemos ayudar con Sub para Santa, ropa de invierno, y o otras necesidades. Si desea ayudar, puede comprar tarjetas de regalo y dejarlas en la oficina.
