Canyon Crest Parents/Guardians, Please note the following weekly announcements.   

1. WHITE RIBBON WEEK

This week is White Ribbon (Internet Safety) Week.

Here are the dress up days for the week: 

• Monday Feb 12–Dress Well, Test Well–Dress Your Best!
• Tuesday Feb 13–Post & Play Like a Rockstar: Dress Like a Rockstar
• Wednesday Feb 14–Be Internet Kind: Wear Red or Pink
• Thursday Feb 15– Be Online Vigilant: Dress Like A Super Villain
• Friday Feb 16–ROAR Online (Respect, Ownership, Attitude, and Responsibility): Wear School T-shirt or Blue and Green Canyon Crest Colors  

2. PTA MEETING

PTA will be meeting tomorrow Tuesday, February 13 at 11:00am in Room 19.   

3. VALENTINES DAY

Classroom teachers should be reaching out or may have already reached out to you about volunteering in classrooms for Valentines Day. Parties will be Wednesday from 2:15pm – 3:15pm with time for clean up before school ends. Please note that any food brought in must be store bought. Please check with your child’s teacher about any classroom allergies. As always, please make sure you have your photo id ready to be scanned at the door.   

4. INTERNET SAFETY ASSEMBLY

We will be having an Internet Safety Assembly this Friday, February 16th.   

5. PRESIDENTS DAY – NO SCHOOL

Next Monday, February 19 there is no school due to President Day.   

6. STEM NIGHT VOLUNTEERS

We are in the beginning stages of planning out annual STEM Night. The event is on March 26th. If you are interested in being a presenter that evening please let us know. 

7. SPELLING BEE

Our school spelling bee will be held Friday, February 23 starting at 9:00am.    

8. AFTER SCHOOL ROBOTICS

Our robotics meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:40p, – 4:40pm. We will be dividing the kids into teams and we would like to have extra volunteers/mentors/coaches to help with the teams. We would love to have parents, high school students, or others that would like to help. If you’re interested in volunteering, reach out to Angela Colton at angelac@provo.edu.   

9. GOLDEN APPLE AWARD

10. ATTENDANCE

We are encouraging our students to get to school on time. For the month of January, every grade level had less than 90% on-time attendance. We value the importance of teaching our students punctuality. We kindly ask that you support us with getting your child to school on time.
