STEM NIGHT

Tomorrow, March 26th from 6:00pm- 7:30pm is our annual STEM Night open house style. At the very bottom of this email there is a STEM Night Program attached that has a brief description of all the activities so you can plan out your evening. There are still a few open spots for a Space Lab Mission at the link here:

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK  

Next week is teacher appreciation week at Canyon Crest and we would love to show our teachers just how much we appreciate them for all that they do for our children…. but we can’t do it without YOUR HELP!  Each day we will do something different for our teachers. Please help us by signing up for either a food donation or to decorate the door of your child’s teacher… or both!   Feel free to email Emilee Wright with any questions: emileewright1@gmail.com The schedule for next week and the links to sign up are below! Thank you in advance for your help!!   Teacher Appreciation 2024 – Monday: Breakfast donated by local business for our teachers. Starting out right!

– Tuesday: Doors to be decorated that morning or Monday right after school. You can sign up for more than one!

– Wednesday: Our teachers will get a special gift in their box!

– Thursday: Lunch for our teachers provided by first grade parents. Parents, if you have a child in first grade – look for a separate email with a sign-up genius link in your inbox.

SAFETY DRILL

Safety Drill this Friday will be an Evacuation Drill starting at 9:30am. 

STATE TESTING HAS BEGUN

This is a very critical time of the school year as we have begun end of year state testing. We thank you for having your children at school to the greatest extent possible.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS ASSEMBLY  

This Friday, March 29th is the Battle of the Books Assembly!

SPRING BREAK

Next week, April 1st – 5th is Spring Break.

COLOR RUN

It’s time for everyone’s favorite event!!  The Color Run is back again this year and coming up on us quickly. On Friday April 19th from 5-7 pm we will be holding 2 color races behind the school.  The first race is for anyone in Kindergarten and younger and the second race will be for everyone else.  There will be food trucks, raffles, stage games, color tossing, dance parties and so much more!  This is the PTA’s big fundraiser so everything earned will go straight back into the school.  We have some wonderful sponsors this year who are providing shirts and swag bags for the runners so sign up! Early registration ends April 9th.  After that the price will increase and you will still be able to sign up but you will not receive a t-shirt.

DONATIONS FOR CANYON CREST SCHOLARSHIP

Exciting news – We have set up a Canyon Crest Scholarship with Timpview High School!  Current upcoming graduates of Timpview who attended Canyon Crest Elementary School can apply for the Canyon Crest Scholarship.  The applications will be reviewed by a committee at Canyon Crest.  The selected recipient of the Canyon Crest scholarship will be able to use the funds for college tuition, books, etc.   Best,  Canyon Crest   Follow us on Social Media.  Instagram: @canyoncrest_pta and @principaledwards Facebook: Canyon Crest Elementary Canyon Crest Google Calendar:
