Please note the following weekly announcements. 

1. Fall Festival This Friday! 

Our wonderful PTA has created an exciting Fall Festival event.  We are grateful to the PTA for designing, supporting, and sponsoring the Fall Festival.

Date: Friday, September 29

Time: Starts 5:30pm | Ends 7:30pm

Location: Canyon Crest Elementary School East Field (Recess and Playground Area)

Ticket Information

$10.00 per ticket for children ages 3 and up. Children under the age of 3 are free.  Adults are free. Admission includes all activities. Food concessions will be available (food trucks).  There are no food pre-sales this year.

2. Classroom Donations

Many of our grade levels at this time are planning activities and field trips which are sponsored by parent donations. If you would like to make a donation to your child’s classroom please come to the front office. 

3. Volunteer Opportunity for Hispanic Heritage Month Activities

From our PTA: Join us in honoring the diverse and vibrant cultures of Hispanic Heritage Month with Canyon Crest PTA! From September 18th to October 13th, we are coming together for a month-long celebration.  Here are some opportunities to get involved:

• Lunch Recess Activities on Wednesdays
• Setting up for Dia Cultural (Culture Day) on Thursday, October 12
• Attending Dia Cultural (Culture Day) on Friday, October 13 (afternoon), where our students will present about Hispanic and Latin cultures.

4. Lock Down Drill This Friday

We will be having a Lockdown Protocol Drill this Friday, September 29 at 9:30am. Teachers will be going over all the procedures with students in class. Please mention it to your student so they are informed. 

5. Reflections! 

Reflections is a way to honor the creativity of every student who participates! It builds confidence and helps kids think about making a positive impact in their community. Deadline is Tuesday, October 17. Please see attached flyer for more information (all attachments are at the very bottom). 

6. Panorama Survey (5th & 6th Graders Only)

Provo City School District has asked all 5th and 6th grade students to complete the Panorama Social Emotional Learning Survey. The survey will be administered on Thursday, September 28 and should take around 20 minutes to complete. You can review the survey at the following links:
