2. Upcoming February Dates:
   • February 10 – 14: Hope Week
   • February 12: PTA Meeting at 10:00am
   • February 14: School Spelling Bee at 9:30am
   • February 17: Presidents Day – No School
   • February 26, 27, 28: Student Educator Parent (SEP) Conferences (more information to come)
3. Safety Drill: This Friday, students and staff will be participating in a Secure Protocol Safety Drill.
4. Lockdown Protocol Practice In Alternative Spaces Students will receive instruction on what to do if a lockdown protocol is initiated in a space that is not their classroom (e.g., cafeteria, playground/recess area, hallway, bathroom). Students will receive this instruction this week, February 3-7.
5. English Spelling Bee Our School English Spelling Bee is Friday, February 14 starting at 9:30am.
6. End of School Year Dates
   • Dia de los Niños: Friday, May 9
   • Field Day for Grades K-2: Thursday, May 15 from 9:15am – 11:15am
   • Field Day for Grades 3-5: Friday, May 16 from 9:15am – 11:15am
   • 6th Grade Celebration: Friday, May 16 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm
   • Kindergarten Graduation: Monday, May 19 from 10:00am – 11:00am
   • 6th Grade Graduation: Tuesday, May 20 form 9:30am – 10:30am
   • Last Day of School: Wednesday, May 21
7. A/B School Calendar: The district is moving away with PDF versions of school calendars for accessibility purposes. Please subscribe to our school A/B Calendar at the link here: Canyon Crest Google Calendar
8. After School Information: Our Robotics class for 4th-6th grade students will start this week! They will meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays for about 8 weeks and then have a competition with teams from Rock Canyon. Come build and program your robot with a partner and rep the Canyon Crest Cubs at the competition. Please sign up using the online enrollment form: Sign-Up Link
