Please note the following weekly announcements.

1. May 19, 20, 21 – Early Release Students will be released at 1:30pm on the last three days of school, May 19, 20, and 21. Bus 8 will be running a few minutes late these days. Please plan accordingly.
2. End of Year Dates -Field Day for Grades K-2: Thursday, May 15 (1:00pm – 3:00pm) -Field Day for Grades 3-5: Friday, May 16 (9:15am – 11:15am) -6th Grade Celebration: Friday, May 16 (6:00pm – 9:00pm) -Kindergarten Graduation: Monday, May 19 (10:00am – 11:00am) -6th Grade Graduation: Tuesday, May 20 (9:30am – 10:30am) -Last Day of School: Wednesday, May 21 (Early Release at 1:30pm)
3. Certified Faculty Not Returning We would like to take a moment to recognize our certified faculty who are not returning to Canyon Crest next school year. We appreciate everything they have done for us at Canyon Crest and wish them well in their future endeavors. -Mastra Daniela Nuila, 2nd Grade Teacher -Mrs. Britti Armantrout, 2nd Grade Teacher -Mrs. Connie Stone, 3rd Grade Teacher -Mrs. Autumn Lyons, 5th Grade Teacher -Mrs. Brianna Campbell, 5th Grade Teacher -Mrs. Kylie Monson, 6th Grade Teacher -Mr. Michael Blakey, Social Worker -Ms. Seralina McCormick-Danielson, Special Education Teacher -Dr. Sean Edwards, Principal An announcement has already been made about internal staffing changes (including different assignments) and those who will start at Canyon Crest this August.
4. Field Day Kindergarten–2nd Grade Field Day: Thursday, May 15, from 1:00–3:00pm 3rd–5th Grade Field Day: Friday, May 16, from 9:15–11:15am We are looking for volunteers who can lend a hand by helping at various activity stations. Your support would make a big difference in ensuring a fun and successful event for our students. If you are available to help, please take a moment to review the sign-up sheet and select a time that works for you:

5. PTA Meeting PTA will be meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 13 at 10:00am at PTA President Ash Mae Hoiland’s house – 292 E 4075 N. Come enjoy breakfast and celebrate the school year with us. All parents are welcome to attend (even if you have not been able to engage with PTA as much as you would have liked to this school year).
6. Lunch Balances If your student has an outstanding lunch balance, please reach out to our child nutrition clerk, Karen Uhl, to pay – karenu@provo.edu.
7. 6th Grade Music Concert Our 6th Grade Music Concert is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 13 from 6:00-7:00pm in the Canyon Crest Gym.
8. Kindergarten Registration Kindergarten Registration for the 2025 -2026 school year has started. To get started, please use the following link:

9. Lost & Found The lost and found will be donated the day after school gets out. Please take a moment to go through it and find any lost items.
10. Provo City School District Foundation Donation Initiative This year, the Provo City School District Foundation will not be hosting an Easter Basket Auction. Instead, they will be doing a donation initiative. Please see the following link if you are interested in making a donation. Link:
