Canyon Crest Parents/Guardians,
Please note the following weekly announcements:
Student Educator Parent (SEP) Conferences start today! Conferences will be October 25, 26, and 27. Students will be released early on these dates as well. Please note the following schedule:
SEP Conferences are scheduled for the following:
October 25 – 2:00pm – 6:00pm (STUDENTS RELEASED AT 1:30pm)
October 26 – 2:00pm – 7:00pm (STUDENTS RELEASED AT 1:30pm)
October 27 – 2:10pm – 3:30pm (STUDENTS RELEASED 1:50pm)
We are grateful for our visitor management system, which helps to keep our students safe. Per district policy (see attached), we kindly request all visitors to present a valid government issued form of photo identification, including visitors who are checking their child out early or dropping something off. This will go into full effect starting November 1, 2023. We appreciate your support in ensuring the safety of our students.
Our school Halloween parade will be next Tuesday October 31. The parade will start at 1:45pm and it will follow the same route as last year outside. Classroom parties will start right after the parade (around 2:15pm). Students should not wear masks that cover their whole face. Students should not have any actual or look-a-like weapons as part of their costume. Costumes should be appropriate for learning in the classroom and not disrupt the learning environment. If you are wanting to enter the building please make sure you have your photo id with you.
If you are planning to help with classroom Halloween parties, we highly suggest that you scan your license and check in before the parade starts. We always have a greater volume of people scanning on that day so please plan out your time accordingly.
Picture Retake Day will be November 2, 2023. Please see the attached flyer.
All third grade students will be taking the CogAT next Thursday and Friday (Nov. 2nd and 3rd). Students will solve various kinds of puzzles (word, number, picture etc.). This opportunity helps us identify students who may benefit from enriched instruction. Reports of student performance are released to parents at a future time. If you would like further information about this instrument, please refer to the parent page at the following link: CogAT Parent Page. 6. Ski School

There is an additional $50 bus fee that is NOT optional. This fee is paid directly to myself via Venmo, cash or check and I them in turn pay the charter company with one cashiers check for the total amount.
Corporate passes CANNOT be used for ski school. Lift tickets ARE NOT included in the lesson price and must be purchased separately unless the participant has a season pass.
