Canyon Crest Elementary School

Canyon Crest Elementary School is excited to welcome Mark Burge as principal starting the 25-26 school year! Principal Burge says the following, “It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Canyon Crest Elementary. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside such fabulous students, a dedicated staff, and supportive parents.”

“I have spent the last 14 years as an elementary school principal at Provo Peaks Elementary, and in San Juan School District in southeastern Utah. At each school, I have learned so much about myself as an educator and person as I have worked with these amazing communities. I know this learning and growth will continue as I get to know each of you.”

“My career in education started in Jordan School District in 2001 as a 6th grade teacher. I also taught 4th grade and elementary PE. I find so much joy by being around students and getting to know them. Seeing kids smile each day is the best ever.”

“My wife, Amy, and I have been married almost 30 years. We have four adult children. My wife is also an educator. She is a history teacher at Maple Mountain High School. In my spare time, I love to play Ice Hockey, be outdoors, and work with my wife in our garden and flowerbeds.”

We are confident that Principal Burge will be a wonderful leader of our Canyon Crest Cubs! Welcome to Canyon Crest!
