Welcome to September! It seems our Canyon Crest Cubs have transitioned well into the new school year. Our students bring an exciting and positive energy to school each and every day. They have such a high level of enthusiasm for learning that has been enjoyable to see as I pop-in and observe classes.

We hope our students enjoyed our back-to-school theme and red carpet event – “Canyon Crest es una escuela con mucho encanto” (Canyon Crest is a school with a lot of charm.). Why does our school hold so much charm? Because our students exemplify the principles of ROAR – Respect, Ownership, Attitude, and Responsibility. Because our students are kind, friendly, and accepting. Because our students engage in the learning process. Because our faculty/staff, including teachers, truly care for every student and are invested in their success.

As we head into a new month, still new into the school year, we encourage all students to take advantage of learning opportunities – ask questions, try new things, step outside the comfort zone. When students take these risks, they activate meaningful discussions with peers, they create new ideas, and they stimulate critical thinking. I am excited for how much our Canyon Crest Cubs will learn this school year!
