October Message from Administration
Welcome to October! Our Canyon Crest Cubs continue to come to school with bright smiles on their faces. As I walk through the halls and visit classrooms, I hear our teachers providing engaging instruction and see our students eagerly participating in the learning process.
I have been impressed by our faculty and staff who actively use our School Improvement Plan goals to guide our collective work. Our 2022-2023 School Improvement Plan goals are as follows:
Reading/Literacy: By May 2023, the percentage of students scoring benchmark and above will increase by at least 5% according to the Acadience beginning-of-year to end-of-year reading assessment using the Pathways of Progress report for progress monitoring.
Math: By May 2023, at least 82% of students will score on-level or above according to the Into Math Growth Measure Assessment.
Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS): By May 2023, every student will receive at least 10 ROAR cards for the 2022-2023 school year.
At Canyon Crest, we value prioritizing our focuses, using data to inform decisions, and partnering with parents in the active learning of all students. We appreciate the opportunity we have to work collaboratively to serve and support your children. Thank you for helping us to reach our goals!
Best,
Dr. Edwards
