Reading Benchmark Assessment Information
Parents/Guardians of K-3 Students,
Yesterday, a letter came home with your student. It outlines how your child performed at the beginning of the year Acadience Reading Benchmark Assessment (given at the beginning, middle, and end of the year). If your child is reading “at or above benchmark”, it indicates that your child will probably be on grade level at the end of the year with regular instruction. We also know that reading every day at home will help your child be successful, as well.
If your child is below benchmark, your child will need additional assistance to be able to reach grade level standards. The letter also shows the interventions that will be given at school to help your child attain that goal. Please work with your child’s teacher to see how you can also assist in these efforts at home.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mrs. Deanna Lee at 801-221-9873 ext. 1206 or deannal@provo.edu.
Best,
Canyon Crest
